His recollections of Donald can be found here. David continued to play Donald’s music at All Saints’ Church, also at a series of concerts organised by Terry Brinkley at Golden Cross Chapel from 2006-2009 (from which much of the video content of this site originates), and at Christ Church in Ware in October 2010, and at many weddings, funerals and other services.

David died peacefully at home in Eastbourne on 18th August 2012, following a long battle with myeloma (bone marrow cancer). A Thanksgiving Service for David’s Life was held on 14th September 2012, at 1200hrs, at All Saint’s Church. There was a magnificent attendance, praising God for David’s life.

The service included Kilmarnoch, played before the service, and Caledonia (played by organist Malcolm Bush) as the final piece. “Caledonia” bears the dedication, from Donald “To Dear David – greatly beloved of The Lord“.

Here is a video of David and Kath Hall, playing Donald’s arrangement of “Thine Be The Glory” at his 60th Birthday Party, a concert held at All Saints’ Church in aid of People Matter.

The maintenance of this website will be continued by Sam Woodward.
The collection of Donald’s manuscripts and letters will be taken for permanent archive to the National Library of Scotland, in 2013.
